Dr. Alexis Davis-Hazell, mezzo soprano, Dr. Luvada A. Harrison, soprano, and Dr. Kevin Chance, piano will perform arias, duets and piano arrangements from major operatic works performed on the historic recital presented by Internationally acclaimed African American Opera singers Grace Bumbry and Shirley Verrett in honor of Marian Anderson the first African American to perform a major role at the Metropolitan Opera. The recital was presented at Carnegie Hall in celebration of Anderson’s 80th birthday on January 31, 1982.
